On May 19th, 2020, 3-year-old Lucan was diagnosed with Pre B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Our family’s world was turned upside down in an instant. During Lucan's road to recovery, we have realized how fortunate we were to have St. Jude be there to save our little boy's life and allow us to focus on what was most important - Lucan's health and well-being.

As a family, we are blessed to have one another and the resources to supply Lucan with toys, games, and other activities to pass time in the hospital. In return, Lucan has provided us with more strength than he will ever know.

We knew we wanted an opportunity to harness the power of his optimism and courage by helping others . This charity was formed so that we could support other families and children as they undoubtedly experience the pain and devastation that a cancer diagnosis brings. We hope that one day, pediatric cancer (and all cancers) is a thing of the past. Until then, we want to do our part in giving back to a community that has given us so much.

Donations made to Lucan's Lions will directly to supporting local families with newly diagnosed children and to St. Jude, which covers the costs of treatment for pediatric cancer patients.

Your support means families can focus on keeping their sick children happy, comfortable and entertained during their ongoing treatment plans which often include long and harsh days.

The mental burden and anguish a parent of a cancer child experiences is something no one should have to go through. Your support provides these parents with the strength they need to help their little warriors defeat this horrible disease.

Lucan's Lions allows you to choose where your support goes. You may contribute entirely to our St Jude fundraising efforts or to our local outreach program to support families of newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patients. Our hope is that you support both causes, equally important. You may choose how much to donate to either or both of Lucan's Lions' causes.
